Following a public call, Minister of Culture Nina Obuljen Koržinek, PhD, appointed Zlatko Vidačković as artistic director of Pula Film Festival on 10 March 2019. He served as artistic director of Pula Film Festival from October 2004 to February 2014, and again from March 2017.

The artistic director is in charge of proposing the programme of the Festival, which includes the main programme, as well as the accompanying programmes and events (industry and networking), selectors for accompanying programmes, international guests, titles for films included in the main and accompanying programmes, schedule of film screenings, and the composition of the Festival jury.

Zlatko Vidačković is a film critic, editor, university lecturer and producer of film events and programmes. He holds a master’s degree in journalism and is now pursuing his PhD in Information and Communication Sciences at the Zagreb Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. He served as the president of the Croatian Society of Film Critics from 2003 to 2008, as well as a member of the FIPRESCI jury at Cannes, San Francisco, Berlin, and Venice. He is the vice president of the Federation of Film Critics of Europe and the Mediterranean FEDEORA, as well as of the International Press Academy.
