Further to the Decision of the Civil Protection Headquarters of Istria County on the cancelling of Pula Film Festival, a meeting was held with the following participants: Mayor of the City of Pula, Istria County Prefect, Director of the Institute for Public Health of Istria County, Chief of the Civil Protection Headquarters of Istria County, Director of the Department for Culture of Istria County, and the Director of the Public Institution Pula Film Festival. In accordance with the conclusions made at the said meeting, about which we have also notified the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Croatia, we issue the following statement:
The 67th Pula Film Festival is postponed for early September. All those involved want the continuity of Pula Film Festival to be maintained and that the selected productions for this year’s edition of the Festival are screened in a quality manner. The Public Institution, together with the Artistic Director, will make a proposal to the Festival Council on the new form of the Festival and the schedule of screenings, in line with all measures, after which an adequate Decision will be made. We hope that the epidemiological conditions will allow for the Festival to take place and that the audience in Pula will be able to enjoy the Festival and the films after all.
