Synopsis

Momo, a young orphan girl living in an old amphitheater, spends her days with her best friend Gino, helping neighbours and listening to their stories. But when a powerful corporation starts stealing everyone’s time, even Gino no longer has time for her. With the help of a mysterious tortoise and Master Hora, the guardian of time, Momo sets out on a thrilling mission to stop the time-thieves and save her friends.

About the director

Christian Ditter (Giessen, 1977) is a German director, producer and screenwriter. After studying at the University of Television and Film Munich, he gained recognition with the hit film French for Beginners (2006) and popular TV series such as Turkish for Beginners (2006) and Doctor’s Diary (2008). He achieved international success with The Crocodiles trilogy, which won over 50 awards worldwide. Ditter later moved into English-language productions, directing films including Love, Rosie (2014) and How to Be Single (2016). He also created and directed acclaimed streaming series such as Netflix’s Girlboss (2017) and Biohackers (2020), as well as Apple TV+’s Where’s Wanda? (2024). His recent work includes The Present (2024) and the adaptation of Michael Ende’s Momo (2026), filmed in the iconic Pula Arena.
