Synopsis

New to NYC, Neda seeks stability and connection while keeping a technologically wounded relationship with their father in Slani Štapić, Croatia. In a late-night session of internet browsing, Neda comes across a queer cyberfeminist group, Elektroničke Vještice. This discovery grows into an obsession, and then into an IRL search to find them.

About the director

Maja Čule is an artist living and working between New York and Zagreb, working across film, photography and video. She teaches film and interactive media at Brooklyn College in New York and has been running the Kuća Neda residency programme since 2021. Her work explores personal narratives, the experience of living in a queer body, migration, and identity shaped between different cultures and languages. She has held solo exhibitions at Arcadia Missa in London, Company Gallery in New York, and Gallery Močvara in Zagreb. She is also a member of several New York-based collectives dedicated to experimental film and video, including Mono No Aware and the Trans Film Collective.
