Synopsis

The story of Dražen Petrović shifts the focus away from his well-known sports achievements and delves deeper into the personal side of his life and his unique character. It explores the complex relationship between Dražen and basketball, his greatest passion and personal religion – his one true love, yet also his curse.

About the director

Danilo Šerbedžija (Zagreb, 1971) is a Croatian director. He earned his master’s degree from the University of Ohio. He is the president of the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild, and has directed a number of documentary and short films. His first feature film, 72 Days (2010), won numerous awards, including the Audience Award at Pula Film Festival, and was also Croatia’s entry for the Academy Awards. He also directed the films The Liberation of Skopje and Tereza37, which won six Golden Arenas, including the Grand Golden Arena for Best Film.

Ljubo Zdjelarević (Nova Gradiška, 1981) graduated in history and geography from the Faculty of Philosophy, and studied film and theatre production at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. In 2009, he founded Kinoteka production company for live-action, documentary, and animated projects, as well as multimedia and TV commercials. He is a graduate of EAVE and a member of the Filmmakers Association of Croatia, Croatian Producers Association, and the European Film Academy.
