Synopsis

The story of the Yugoslav national basketball team that won the gold medal in 1991, stood on the podium, and watched their flag rise—all for the glory of a country that ceased to exist three days earlier.

About the director

Jure Pavlović (Split, 1985) is a Croatian director and producer. He graduated in film and TV directing from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb. His short films were screened at more than two hundred festivals and received numerous awards. He produced the film Lada Kamenski (FEDEORA Award for Best Film at Pula Film Festival in 2017, Golden Arena for Best Actress, Best Screenplay and Best Debutant) and co-produced the Swedish film Jimmy (2017). His short film Picnic, which he wrote, directed and produced, is the first majority Croatian film to win the European Oscar, the prestigious European Film Award for Best Short Film in 2015. His debut feature film Mater (2019) was screened at a number of festivals, garnering numerous awards (Best Regional Film at Belgrade International Film Festival – FEST, four awards at Pula Film Festival, awards at festivals in Taormina, Skopje, Sait-Jean-de-Luz, and others).
