Synopsis
The story of a young woman who, in search of her roots on a small island, experiences an unexpected romance in late summer, which evolves into a tale of acceptance, forgiveness, and love towards others, towards the island, and most importantly, towards herself.

About the director
Danis Tanović (Zenica, 1969) is a Bosnian director, producer, and screenwriter. His debut film No Man’s Land won the Best Screenplay Award at Cannes in 2001 and the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 2002. The film won 42 awards in total, making it one of the most awarded debut films in the history of cinema. He directed two other films that deal with war and its consequences: Cirkus Columbia, set in the period immediately before the war, and Triage, with Colin Farrell, which deals with war trauma. Tanović received the Silver Bear at Berlin in 2013 and 2016 for his films An Episode in the Life of an Iron Picker and Death in Sarajevo, respectively. He currently lives in Sarajevo and works as a professor of directing at the Academy of Performing Arts.
