Synopsis
A young Afghan woman comes to Belgrade at the height of the migrant wave – her struggle begins when she learns that her younger brother drowned in the river there, and she is determined to bury him under his full name.

About the director
Vuk Ršumović (Belgrade, 1975) is an award-winning Serbian playwright, screenwriter and director. His feature debut No One’s Child won three awards at the Critics’ Week programme at the 71st Venice International Film Festival, and has received more than thirty international awards to date, and has been screened at more than 50 festivals all over the world. In 2020 he wrote and directed the TV series The Mould, based on the true story about the infamous scandal of the “missing baby” in Yugoslavia. He wrote the screenplay for the film Guardians of the Formula, which had its premiere at the Locarno Film Festival. He teaches screenplay and film directing at the Faculty of Media and Communications in Belgrade. Dwelling Among the Gods is his second feature film.
