Synopsis
Zagreb, 1941. In the occupied city, a gathering of high school students is organized at a stadium in an attempt to divide them along ideological and national lines. While the authorities enforce intimidation, a group of underground activists plans an act of sabotage. Amid the chaos of ideological pressure, friendships and love begin to fall apart, and personal loyalties are put to the test.

About the director
Dušan Vukotić (1927–1998) was a Yugoslav director, animator, and screenwriter, and a key figure of the Zagreb School of Animated Film. He was the first non-American filmmaker to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film (Surogat, 1962), marking a historic turning point in the history of world animation. Alongside his work in animation, he also directed live-action films, most notably Operation Stadium (1977). His body of work is characterized by a blend of formal innovation and strong social engagement.
