Synopsis

On the recently colonized Crystal Planet, 11-year-old Rea befriends a dinosaur-like cub named Burgy, who was separated from his mother by a mutant monster. As Rea attempts to reunite Burgy with his mother, she faces a dangerous task when they cross paths with the ruthless Governor, who seeks to exploit Burgy’s unique abilities for profit. Rea and Burgy must rely on their bond of friendship and courage to overcome the challenges that stand in their way and protect the fragile balance of life on Crystal Planet.

About the director

Arsen Anton Ostojić (Split, 1965) graduated in film and television directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb (1991) and earned his MFA in film production from New York University (1994). He has directed around ten short narrative films in Croatia and the United States, including Decorations, The Bird Lover and Life Drawing. His three feature films — A Wonderful Night in Split (2004), No One’s Son (2008), and Halima’s Path (2012) — were all Croatian submissions for the Academy Awards and together have won around 70 awards and recognitions at more than 110 film festivals and showcases. His film F20 (2018) premiered at the 22nd Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival and received awards at international festivals. He has been a member of the European Film Academy since 2005 and served as President of the Croatian Film Directors’ Guild. He is currently a tenured lecturer in film production at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb and actively develops projects in Europe and the United States.
