Synopsis
When Martha, Mikkel, and Mats’ mother has an accident, the three siblings have to stay with their grandmother, whom they have hardly ever met. What feels like the worst summer of their lives slowly but surely turns into something very special.

About the director
Mara Eibl-Eibesfeldt (Gräfelfing, 1980) is a German screenwriter and director. She studied journalism, film studies, and psychology at the Freie Universität Berlin, and later film directing at the University of Television and Film Munich. Her debut feature, Im Spinnwebhaus (2015), premiered in the Berlinale section Perspektive Deutsches Kino, after which Variety named her one of the “10 Europeans to Watch”. In 2021, she directed and co-wrote the crime thriller Der Gesang des Raben. Her feature film Safari Detective, based on the children’s novel by Kirsten Boie and filmed on location in South Africa, was released in 2023.
