Synopsis
Four-year-old Lotte moves to the countryside and struggles to leave her old home and friends behind. Everything changes when she meets Totte, the boy next door, and together they share adventures and fun. But after a game ends in a fight, Lotte must find a way to win back her new best friend.

About the director
Mia Fridthjof (Brædstrup, 1979) is a Danish director and screenwriter with more than two decades of experience in film and animation. Drawing on her background in screenwriting and extensive work across the industry, she focuses on developing stories for young audiences. Her feature film Lotte & Totte: My First Friend brings the beloved children’s books to the screen in a thoughtful and emotionally grounded adaptation.
