Synopsis

Fourteen-year-old Elvis, a boy misunderstood by the world around him, loves comic books, chemistry and Hana, the most beautiful girl in school. When his parents divorce and his mother announces that she is pregnant, his life is turned upside down. The film is based on Janja Vidmar’s bestselling novel of the same name about a contemporary Slovenian counterpart to Adrian Mole, which has received numerous literary awards.

About the director

Boris Jurjaševič (Slovenj Gradec, 1955) is a film and television director and screenwriter whose work spans feature films, TV series, documentaries, and commercials. A graduate of the Academy of Theatre, Radio, Film and Television in Ljubljana, he is known for combining sharp social insight with distinctive visual storytelling across genres from drama and crime to comedy. Since his debut in the 1980s, Jurjaševič has created an extensive body of work, including Ljubezni Blanke Kolak, Blues za Saro, Queen of Hearts and the acclaimed TV crime series The Cases of Inspector Vrenko.
