Synopsis
Mijo, once a respected painter, is now a homeless man living in an abandoned building filled with despair and societal invisibility. Every day, he faces hunger, cold, and violence. Everything changes with the arrival of a woman and her child — a migrant woman seeking a better life. Mijo decides to help them, but witnesses a brutal murder and becomes the killer’s target.

About the director
Mario Šulina (Đakovo, 1969) is a Croatian film director, screenwriter and photographer. His photographic work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions, receiving several awards and recognitions. A member of the Croatian Composers’ Society since 1998, he later turned to film and video, completing documentary filmmaking and cinematography programmes at the “Dr. Ante Peterlić” Media Culture School of the Croatian Film Association. He has directed a number of documentary, experimental, commissioned and short fiction films, as well as music videos. He is the director and producer of the feature films Adam (2020) and The Woman with the Rubber Gloves (2023).
