Synopsis
Vlasta, The Memory Is Not Everlasting is a documentary about Vlasta Lah, the first woman to direct a sound film in Argentina. Through a detective-style investigation, the filmmakers reconstruct her life journey—from her childhood in a country torn apart by war and her emigration to Argentina, to her rise as one of the most prominent assistant directors at San Miguel Studios, and ultimately to the historic moment when she became the first woman to direct a sound film in Argentine cinema.
