Synopsis

A writer, journalist and alcoholic with PTSD slept with four women, was fired as a journalist and hired as a screenwriter, became a father and a godfather, got into a fight, contracted STDs and burns, caused a friend to be fired, and worse – all in four drunken days.

About the director

Ivan Salaj (Zagreb, 1969) is a Croatian film director and writer. He graduated in Film and TV Directing from the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb. His student films, the television drama See You, and the documentaries Second Floor, Basement and Hotel Sunja received numerous international awards, including the Rector’s Award, the Oktavijan Award, the Breza Award and the Golden Arena. He has worked as a screenwriter and director on around forty short and feature-length documentaries, as assistant director on numerous fiction films, co-writer on five feature films, and creative director on two animated films, as well as directing more than seventy commercials. He wrote and directed two short fiction films as part of the omnibus features Zagreb Stories Vol. 3 and Transmania (2015), and directed the multi-award-winning feature film The Eighth Commissioner (2018), Croatia’s official submission for the Academy Awards.
